I’m almost done potting up all of my seedlings. They are living in our little plastic greenhouse/hoophouse in the front yard. (Pretty! But you have to do what you have to do. I like to eat fresh garden food, so I do crazy things, like putting plastic structures in my front yard, because it’s all about priorities. No one sees our front yard anyway.)
There are hundreds of seedlings – hundreds! I tried something new this year, which I will blog about this week, and it has worked great. But I have too many seedlings, which I knew would be a problem. At this point, I intend to let the kids sell the seedlings at church or a garage sale or something, and we’ll donate the proceeds to the charity of their choice. They are way excited about this idea.
I have more things to say, and pictures to post, but I am exhausted after a fantastic Mother’s Day. I got breakfast in bed (French toast with Nutella!), an herbal green tea foot soak, Lebanese food for lunch, popcorn and a movie (we watched a little bit of a documentary – Wild China – with the kids, and they are addicted to it…I didn’t know China was so vast, diverse, and gorgeous!), and now a little wine and off to bed I go. It’s nice having kids old enough to plan fun stuff, but I know Jason had to do lots of work to get it all done. (They are only eight and under, after all.) But much more exciting than when I only had toddlers and Jason signed their name on a card for them.
Happy Mother’s Day, all you moms out there!
