Not much time for a full write up on this diaper sewing experience, but here are some pics, a quick summary, and links at the bottom. To protect the kids, no pictures of their faces will be shown (since they’re wearing some pervy googler-worthy stuff). To see all the cute pics, go to this album. Click on the sub-album entitled “Knicker and Diaper.” (The view-only password is my firstborn’s first name followed by my secondborn’s full first name, all typed together like one word.) Go to the pattern page for more info on this great diaper pattern!
All fastened – only takes one pin!
Stuffed with folded flat diaper:

Worn on front – diaper is too small, I think:
Worn on back – showin’ a little skin:
There’s a cute pic of Elly in the album, too.
I sewed this diaper out of an old flannel receiving blanket. It’s two layers of flannel with a pocket in back; you stuff the pocket to customize the size and absorbency. The front and/or back can be folded to fit different size babies. The diaper is meant to be fastened with one diaper pin in front; as you can see, it barely fits Elly. I think the pattern needs to be made a bit bigger, and I will probably do that on my own. Very cute and fun to sew!
